Dr. William Kerr
Dr. William H. Kerr spent 42 years in public education as a teacher, principal, and district administrator, including 25 years as a school superintendent. Dr. Kerr serves as the Court-Appointed Receiver for the Duquesne City School District to provide academic and financial oversight for educational programs and services and to provide assurances for implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Financial Recovery Plan. He was recommended by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Education and appointed by the Common Pleas Court of Allegheny County.
Dr. Kerr earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree at Slippery Rock State College, a Master’s degree from Duquesne University, and an Educational Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
