Mrs. Celeste Rudge

Mrs. Rudge serves as the district's Director of Literacy and Innovation. Previously, Mrs. Rudge worked as a reading specialist, first grade teacher and ELA coach. She has a passion for all things literacy related and enjoys partnering with teachers to support research-based literacy instruction in their classrooms. She is fiercely dedicated to helping students master the skills they need to be successful readers.

Prior to working for the Duquesne City school district, she taught Pre-K for the Allegheny Intermediate Unit Head Start Program. Mrs. Rudges Head Start classroom was in the Burns Heights Community of Duquesne, which is now Orchard Park. She also taught Kindergarten for the Ambridge School District.
